Biography

Brighton Heard

Brighton is a Principal Consultant with nearly 20 years of experience in wetland science, ecological restoration, mitigation banking, and environmental permitting.  A Louisiana native, he has led complex projects across the country, specializing in mitigation bank development, regulatory compliance, habitat restoration, and natural resource management.

Throughout his career, Brighton has worked closely with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and numerous state and federal resource agencies, successfully guiding projects from planning and permitting through implementation and long-term compliance. His experience includes environmental consulting, executive leadership, and managing large-scale restoration and coastal resilience initiatives.

Outside of work, Brighton enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his dog. As a lifelong outdoorsman, he has a deep appreciation for conserving the wetlands and natural resources that have shaped both his career and his passion for environmental stewardship.
